For his 8th solo LP, Queens emcee junclassic teams up NY DJ/producer Bazooka Joe for BLVD Backdrop. Produced entirely by Bazooka Joe, BLVD Backdrop is a heavy East Coast Boom Bap Hip Hop album made for the streets, avenues and boulevards worldwide.

BLVD Backdrop is straight raw, unadulterated New York Hip Hop. Comprised of 13 tracks, the album includes features from Ceez, King Cesar, Evolve and C-Rayz Walz; with cuts by 2 Kool Tony and DJ 717. Standout tracks include the album leak “Rugged N’ Hard”, lead single “NY Won’t Stop” and the LL Cool J inspired track “Rep Queens”.

Queens emcee junclassic began his music career in 1997 as one half of the duo Dynamix with fellow emcee K-Sise. With the success of their Shock & Awe mixtape series from 2000-2002 and after meeting with MF GRIMM, the duo was inducted into the Monsta Islands Czars collective. junclassic branched out on his own as a solo artist in 2007. His second album, Overqualified, received worldwide magazine and Internet press and was widely praised for its creativity and uniqueness. Currently separated from the Monsta Islands Czars, junclassic has a handful of solo albums under his belt with more great music on the way.
DJ Bazooka Joe made a name for himself in the late 90’s/2000’s with his Truck Jewls mixtapes which are still highly sought after to this day, including his Hidden Treasure’s series and his Jay-Z/RJD2 remix project The Silver Album. He has also had a successful DJ career working the NYC club and loungecircuit and even served as tour DJ for Dres of Black Sheep, traveling all over the globe with the Native Tongue legend MC.
Today, Joe’s focus is on production with credits that include Dres, Jarobi of Tribe Called Quest, Craig G, Sadat X, Monsta Island Czars & AG to name a few. Joe has NY boom bap in his DNA and after releasing some well received projects over the last few years including his debut mixtape CD/LP, The Slang Parade, he is moving full steam ahead with major contributions on various veteran artists’ projects as well as his collaborative project with fellow producer Prospek of Guerilla Publishing Company called Cold Skool and also producing BLVD Backdrop for Queens MC, junclassic.
