It has also been confirmed that the studio has rights to use Pac’s music in the film, a result of getting the rapper’s mother, Afeni Shakur, on board with the project. She was previously involved in a legal dispute over the rights to her son’s story, but thankfully, that all got resolved and it looks like one of the greatest rappers ever will get a film worthy of his legacy. Hopefully, it will be a better endeavor than the ill-fated Broadway musical.
